FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Blue Dogwood sounds great! When do you open?
We don't yet have a target opening date, but we're hoping for Spring 2018. Join our mailing list or check back soon.
What vendors will you have?
We have a diverse array of fun food, beverages, and retail. Check out our Vendors page for more info – new vendors are being added all the time!
If you're interested in becoming a vendor, see Become a Vendor to decide if you qualify and for instructions.
What are market hours?
Because the Blue Dogwood community is comprised of local small businesses, we want vendors to have reasonable hours without overwhelming costs to operate and manage. Individual vendors may choose to be open for longer if it makes sense for their business.
Wednesday / Thursday / Friday / Saturday / Sunday – 11a to 8p for all vendors
Monday & Tuesday – Closed to the public, possible special events on these days
Will Blue Dogwood sell liquor?
No, but we plan to sell beer, wine, and cider at our indoor bar. In the future, The Outdoor Beer Garden will also sell alcohol.
Does the market ever close for private events?
The market is closed to the public every Monday and Tuesday, and Blue Dogwood will hold the occasional private event on these days. Private events should not affect regular market hours. Contact us if you're interested in hosting a private event.
Does Blue Dogwood have a newsletter?
You can join our mailing list to receive our e-newsletter, invites to special events, first-hand knowledge about new vendors coming into the market, and more.
Can I follow Blue Dogwood on social media?
You sure can! Please tell your friends about us.
Ya'll know dogwoods aren't blue, right? How did you come up with the name Blue Dogwood?
We wanted a name that captures both the local spirit of Chapel Hill and the Old North State. The dogwood is the state flower of North Carolina, and blue is painted all over town because of the university. Don't worry, Duke and State fans, our blue is different than traditional Carolina blue.
